The SayStrong Halloween 5K and family fun run is scheduled for Oct. 31 at Ellijay River Park, with $30 main race entries, official timing and online registration closing at 12:00 a.m. EDT on Oct. 29.
SayStrong’s Halloween 5K and family fun run is set for Oct. 31 at Ellijay River Park. The event runs from 9 to 11 a.m., and the registration page says online registration closes at 12:00 a.m. EDT on Oct. 29, which is the start of that day. The same page says the race will be officially timed, and race-day registration and packet pickup begin at 8 a.m.
The lineup includes a 5K, a 1-mile fun run, a Tot Trot for younger children and a ghost-runner option for people who want the race perks without running or attending in person. Organizers also say there will be a costume contest, music, food, trick-or-treating and yard games.
The registration page lists Ellijay River Park at 1365 S. Main St., and the main race options are $30. Proceeds will support SayStrong Foundation’s plan to adopt a room permanently at Ronald McDonald House Atlanta, which organizers say would give families with children needing hospital care a place to stay.
