Cress Creeks Farm's Fall Corn Maze Opens Sept. 19 in Ellijay
The 9-acre maze at Cress Creeks Farm on Boardtown Road opens for the season Sept. 19 and runs through Nov. 1, with baby lamb tours and barrel train rides rounding out the farm's fall lineup.

Cress Creeks Farm's fall corn maze opens Saturday, September 19, and will run through November 1, giving Gilmer County families roughly six weeks to work their way through the farm's 9-acre maze on Boardtown Road. The farm, at 4708 Boardtown Rd. in Ellijay, is one of the county's best-known fall stops, featured by both Explore Georgia and the Gilmer Chamber of Commerce as a signature agritourism destination.
The maze is designed to take about 45 minutes to complete, with clues scattered along the path to keep visitors from wandering too far off course. The Gilmer Chamber notes it can run anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour depending on how quickly a group navigates the turns.
Tickets start at $15. Combo tickets that bundle the maze with the farm's Baby Lamb Hayride Tour are also available for anyone who wants to make a full afternoon of it.
What else is open
The corn maze is just one piece of the farm's fall lineup. Before heading into the stalks, visitors can take a hayride out to the farm's lamb production barn, where they can hold and feed newborn lambs while learning about how the farm raises its sheep. Kids can also ride the farm's barrel train, and there are spots set up around the property for fall family photos.
